Happy Disability Pride Month! I initially wasnt going to make a post to try to get new mobility aids/tools, but I really need them, so what the hell.

I am a multiply disabled Black lesbian and I have been without proper supportive mobility since the start of the pandemic. I had many of my things broken or thrown away during this time period, and I thought I could go without but its been so long and I really cant anymore.

I need smart/ergonomic forearm crutches because regular forearm crutches wreck my fragile hypermobile wrists, I need braces for both legs and ankles, a shower bench and detachable showerhead. All of this combined is a bit over $550.

I REALLY need this, esp the crutches! My mobility and bodily autonomy would be GREATLY increased If I was able to get these items. I

Also, like if you need something from others, like attention or to be left alone or whatever, you can ask for it. It’s not manipulative to be like “hey, can you focus on me for a bit I really need that right now.” Like attention and love is not worth less if you ask for it vs. manipulating someone into volunteering those things. And if your partner is a jerk about giving you attention when you need it, dump them.

we need to start hounding people into wearing masks again. why aren’t you wearing a mask on public transit? why aren’t you wearing a mask in the crowded grocery store? why aren’t you wearing a mask in the literal hospital? if you’re half as progressive as you claim to be you’d require masks at your busy events. you’re not a progressive if you’re leaving out the immunocompromised. plus covid can still fuck you up even if you’re perfectly healthy and had your vaccines. wouldn’t you rather be unnecessarily cautious than risk getting yourself or someone else sick? put your mask back on in the crowded mall. coward

should be noted that this isnt normal arabic its got some farsi loan letters the ‘v’ and 'p’ sounds dont exist in arabic the letters are made by modifying the 'f’ and 'b’ letters and making them three dots instead of one like how farsi does it
